General Terms and Conditions

Article 1 – Definitions

In these terms and conditions, the following definitions apply:
Cooling-off period: the period within which the consumer can exercise their right of withdrawal.
Consumer: the natural person who is not acting in the exercise of a profession or business and who enters into a distance contract with the entrepreneur.
Day: calendar day.
Distance contract: an agreement whereby, within the framework of a system organized by the entrepreneur for the distance sale of products, exclusive use is made of one or more techniques for distance communication.
Right of withdrawal: the possibility for the consumer to waive the agreement within the 14-day cooling-off period.
Entrepreneur: Hair Icon, the party offering products and/or services remotely to consumers.

Article 3 – Applicability

These general terms and conditions apply to every offer from Hair Icon and to every distance contract concluded between Hair Icon and the consumer. Before the conclusion of the agreement, the text of these conditions will be made available. If this is not possible, it will be indicated where the conditions can be consulted and sent free of charge upon request.

Article 4 – The offer

Hair Icon pays great attention to the presentation of products. Images are a true representation, but colors and details may differ from reality. Obvious errors or mistakes do not bind Hair Icon. Every offer contains clear information about the price, shipping costs, payment and delivery method, the validity period of the offer, and the applicability of the right of withdrawal.

Article 5 – The agreement

The agreement is concluded at the moment the consumer accepts the offer and meets the stated conditions. Hair Icon confirms receipt of the order by email. As long as receipt has not been confirmed, the consumer can dissolve the agreement. Hair Icon takes appropriate technical measures to ensure secure electronic payments.

Article 6 – Right of withdrawal

The consumer can dissolve the agreement regarding the purchase of products within 14 days without giving reasons. The cooling-off period starts on the day after receipt of the product. During the cooling-off period, the consumer must handle the product and packaging with care. Returns must be made with all accessories and, if possible, in original condition and packaging.

Article 7 – Costs in case of withdrawal

If the consumer exercises the right of withdrawal, the costs of the return shipment are for their own account. Hair Icon will refund the purchase amount, including the original shipping costs, within 14 days after receipt of the return shipment or after proof of return by the consumer.

Article 8 – Exclusion of the right of withdrawal

For certain products, the right of withdrawal is excluded. This applies to hygiene products whose seal has been broken, such as wigs and extensions. Return of these products is only possible if the packaging is unopened, unused, and sealed.

Article 9 – Prices

The stated prices include VAT within the European Union. For deliveries outside the EU, import duties and customs costs may apply, which are for the consumer's account. Hair Icon reserves the right to change prices, with the exception of already placed orders.

Article 10 – Conformity and Warranty

Hair Icon guarantees that the delivered products comply with the agreement and the reasonable expectations of the consumer. For electrical tools such as straighteners and hairdryers, a 30-day return period and a 1-year warranty on manufacturing defects apply. For other products, the statutory warranty applies. If a product is defective or incorrectly delivered, this must be reported within 14 days of receipt via info@hairicon.nl.

Article 11 – Delivery and execution

Hair Icon applies a delivery time of 2 to 4 working days within the Netherlands, 3 to 7 working days within the EU, and 7 to 14 working days for international shipments outside the EU. Orders are carefully sent to the address provided by the consumer. The risk of damage and/or loss of products rests with Hair Icon until the moment of delivery.

Article 12 – Payment

Payment must be made in the manner indicated during the ordering process. The consumer is obliged to immediately report any inaccuracies in payment details to Hair Icon. In case of non-payment, Hair Icon reserves the right to charge reasonable costs.

Article 13 – Complaints procedure

Complaints about the execution of the agreement must be submitted fully and clearly described within 7 days after discovery to Hair Icon via info@hairicon.nl. Hair Icon will respond within 14 days after receipt of the complaint. If a complaint requires a longer processing time, the consumer will receive an indication of the period within which a substantive answer can be expected.

Article 14 – Disputes

Agreements between Hair Icon and the consumer to which these conditions apply are exclusively governed by Dutch law, even if the consumer resides abroad.
